Pakistan Welcomes Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan
Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed optimism that Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan upcoming visit to Pakistan will strengthen the relationship between two countries, and would prove to be a further milestone in cementing the ties in various diverse fields
The Turkish president is scheduled to visit Pakistan on his two-day visit on 13 and 14 of February to cast out any differences between, Ankara and Islamabad, due to Pakistan's PM last minute back out from Kuala Lumpur Summit in December 2019.
Pakistan confirmed its engagement in the summit but backed out at the last minute due to concerns rocketed from Saudia Arabia and other Arab countries. Riyadh clutched the summit as of creating a new Islamic bloc. Islamabad made an effort to convince Arab leaders to join the moot but failed to do so.
During the Summit Turkish's President said, Riyadh pressured PM Imran Khan to ditch the summit by threatening to send millions of Pakistan back home and pullout its billions from Pakistan's state bank, but Riyadh rejected it right out.
Preparations ongoing
Matters related to bilateral ties and cooperation between two were also discussed in these meetings.
The leadership of both countries has been sincerely trying to further thrive in economic relations.
Visit
This will be the second visit of Tayyip Erdogan as President, Erdogan also visited Pakistan as Prime Minister, cementing the historic bond
Pakistan can expect more Turkish investment because Top-level Investors are also coming along with President Erdogan, PM also said he intends to involve Turkey in projects relating to CPEC.
A direct Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad corridor was inaugurated in April 2019, linking Iran, Central Asia, and Turkey.
Both countries will be conducting strategic meetings to discuss President Trump's so-called peace plan for Middle Eastern Countries.
President Erdogan holds the distinction for addressing Pakistan's parliament three times, and on Friday, Erdogan will address Pakistan's parliament the fourth time.
Growing cooperation
